This first volume starts with hangul or Korean alphabet and after it, there are 59 lessons with the main contents of the basic level of Korean: numbers, verbs, particles, etc. Since one of the main goals of the book is to boost writing and speaking skills, grammar explanations show conjugations highlighted in red color and also the formal and the informal style of the sentences. All explanations include examples written in Korean with translations into English. 

Once students have studied each unit, there are exercises to practice. The answer key can be found at the end of the book. There many types of exercises, which is very helpful to practice grammar following different methodologies.
